This is a New Fisher Space Pen, Model #T7P Aviation Series Thunderbird. Yes, this is the United States Air Force Thunderbirds .9 mm Lead Mechanical Pencil. It was Pilot Designed with a "Gripping Knob" to allow easy removal and replacement from a small lower leg pocket of the pilots flight suit. This pencil is 5" long and .375 in dameter with a tapered, ridged grip and the knob features the Thunderbird emblem in color.
