Funny People

Filed under: Gift Sets — Tags: — Fisher Space Pens @ 12:27 pm

Last weekend I was the designated driver for some friends.  I didn’t mind at all - drunk people are funny, and I certainly didn’t want anyone driving when they shouldn’t.  I will admit that I was ready to hear last call and I was grateful to be on the road with my van load of loud, happy, singing women, when someone announced that she was hungry.  After some intense deliberation we were on our way to Taco John’s.  There is nothing quite as fun as seven hungry, drunk women trying to coordinate their orders.  As they tried to recite their combined order, the volume in my vehicle took me just about to my limit.  I calmly … okay loudly … instructed she who resided in the shotgun position to reach into my glove compartment and get out the notepad.  She pulled out my Nite Note and was coherant enough to unseat the pen from its holder.  When the light came on the ladies all erupted in wonder and awe.  All of my fatigue and ire was replace by amusement as I answered their rapid-fire questions about this amazing invention.

Yes, it only lights up when the pens is removed.  Yes, that means the light won’t burn out.  Two AA batteries.  Yes, it’s one of those pens I’m always talking about.  Yes, thank you - I am kind of brilliant.  Yes, it is a great gift idea. Yes, you can all write your birthdays down so I have them.

Drunk people are funny.

No More Mystery

Filed under: Gift Sets — Tags: — Fisher Space Pens @ 12:39 pm

I had my dinner with John.  We met, as the post-it directed, at the original restaurant.  He was there before me, probably because he didn’t have to try on and rule out eighteen different outfits.  I was so nervous - but I don’t think he could tell.

We started with a little small talk and then I just asked him point blank, “You seriously never opened my notebook?”  He responded, “Seriously.”  He explained that he watched me writing in it and could tell it was some sort of journal.  He compared reading my thoughts to peeking at Christmas presents … it would take away some of the excitement and mystery.  Normally, I am the type of girl who would laugh at that and tease the guy for being “Smooooth,”  but I could tell he was serious and I didn’t want to offend him.

We talked and ate and talked some more.  We shared which Fisher Pens we were giving as Christmas gifts.  He gave several Chrome Bullet with Silver Mag-Lite Flashlight sets to clients this year, a very practical yet classy gift.  I was impressed.

Finally, the restaurant was closing and it was time to part ways.  He walked me to my car, opened my door for me, shook my hand and said good-night.  As I watched him walk away I knew he was thinking the same thing that I was, it was a very nice night but nothing more.

Forever Boys

Filed under: Gift Sets — Tags: , , — Fisher Space Pens @ 7:40 am

What is it about boys and flashlights?  Every Christmas I get a couple to stick in their stockings and you’d think it was the latest and greatest video game.  “Look, at it when I shine it on the TV!  Look at the ceiling when I do it this way!”  It never ceases to amaze and amuse me.  Of course, within 48 hours my boys have to take them apart to see how they work and if they could reassemble the parts in a different way and make something cooler.

So, I wasn’t surprised when we were browsing Cyber Space Pens site for a suitable birthday gift for Grandpa and they zeroed in on the Space Beam.  Oh my goodness, you’d have thought it was the Holy Grail!  A small argument followed as my daughter was not on board with the idea … she was aiming for the Chrome Golf Ball Pen.  We reached a compromise and decided to save the Golf Ball Pen for Christmas.

I knew Grandpa would like it, but I didn’t quite expect the scene that followed …. “Wow, check it out!  Look at it when I shine it out the window!  It’s so sharp!  Let’s go down the basement and test it out!”  I guess boys never outgrow flashlights!  I just hope Grandpa has outgrown the need to take them apart!

‘Tis the Season

Summer is almost upon us and with it comes the golf season. My father is an avid golfer. He loves getting out in the warm weather, walking the course and working on his game.

I thought of him immediately when I saw the Alan Shepard Telescoping Golf Pen on CyberSpacePens. This pen has a is a miniature golf ball on the end; pull the ball out and the pen is ready to write! My dad would love that. And guess what? It’s almost Father’s Day. That means now is the perfect time to order one.

It comes in a gift box with a sleeve, so I’ll be all set come June. And they include a PR4 medium point pressurized fisher refill, so Dad will be in good shape for a long time. You never have to worry with a Fisher Space Pen!

Alan Shepard was the first American in space, and the fifth person to walk on the moon. That amazing image most American’s have of an astronaut golfing on the moon? That was him.

A Fisher for a Mean Teacher?

Filed under: Capped Pens, Gift Sets — Tags: , , — Fisher Space Pens @ 7:54 pm

My boys have great teachers this year, so naturally I have been thinking about getting them Fisher Pens at the end of the year and I have been trying to get a handle on which pen for each teacher.  They have personalities that are very different from each other and at this point I am not sure what to get.  Right now, I am leaning toward the Sterling Silver Neck Chain Pen - for the first grade teacher and the Chrome X-Mark Flat Cap Pen for the fourth grade teacher.  I think it will be neat to have their names engraved in the form of Mrs. ________.

As I have pondered that, I thought it would be a neat tradition to do that for every teacher they have as they go through elementary school … but then something happened yesterday that gave me pause.  I was helping out with recess and I met one of the second grade teachers.  Whoa - was she scary!  I hope she is not my boy’s  teacher next year.  If she is, I won’t want to buy her a Fisher Space Pen, but I can’t really buy for one of my boys’ teachers and not the other.  Oh well, I will cross that bridge when the time comes … in the mean time, I have two months to decide on this year’s pens.

Insomnia Help

Filed under: Gift Sets, Uncategorized — Tags: , — Fisher Space Pens @ 10:05 am

Do you ever have insomnia?  I hate it, especially if I fall asleep and then wake up, because I don’t want to get out of bed to get a book or do something productive with my unexpected and unwanted free time.  It’s so frustrating just laying there … thinking.  For me, the thoughts usually revolve around mile long list of things I keep forgetting to take care of - or know I will forget … insurance papers, some school sign-up thing, the bake sale I promised to make something for … when was that again?  Of course I am too lazy to get up and write a list so I can stop worrying and fall back to sleep.

If only I had gotten around to getting a Nite Note!  Then my problems would be solved … okay, not solved, but at least written down and remembered.  The Nite Note is a neat little Gift Set from Fisher Space Pens.  It is a note pad and space pen with a lifetime light that only comes on with the pen is removed.  When you run out of paper, you can either buy refill pads or simply insert your own 3×5 note pad.  This is a superb gift idea for almost anyone as it’s incredibly useful, but most people wouldn’t buy one for themselves.  So, keep in in mind for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or as a just because gift.

Mikey Likes It!

Filed under: Gift Sets — Tags: , — Fisher Space Pens @ 11:33 am

I was talking to my brother about Fisher Space Pens the other day and I showed him some of my favorites  on the Cyber Space Pens website.  I am pretty sure his intent was to simply humor me, since I don’t think he gets all that excited about pens, but when he saw the Contractor’s Tool his interest became genuine.  I believe his words were, “Now that’s something I could use.”

He is quite handy and is always doing some household project at his house or he is helping someone else out - so I was not entirely surprised at his interest.  The Contractor Tool comes with a Scale, Magnetic strip, Drywall gauge, Level, Plumb, Cross level, and of course a Space Pen.  I am not sure what most  of that is - but it sure seemed important to Mike.  He also liked that the pen will write on  wood, metal, drywall, rubber, plastic and foam.  It’s now on his birthday list for his wife to buy - she was quite grateful for the suggestion.

Check out the Contractor Tool for the construction type guy in your life, you’ll find it in the Gift Sets section at Cyber Space Pens.

Exceptional Light

Filed under: Gift Sets — Tags: , , — Fisher Space Pens @ 9:21 pm

You know that a pen made by Fisher Space Pens is going to be exceptional, because of the reputation of the company.  They set a standard of excellence for themselves and if you’ve ever owned one of their pens, you know they always meet that standard.

It can be assumed then, that if they decide to make a flashlight, it is not going to be your average flashlight. It’s going to be one that works better, looks better, and is more durable than the others.

Meet the Fisher Space Beam!  This is a mini LED spotlight type flashlight.  You can immediately recognize that this 4 inch Space Beam was inspired by the Fisher Bullet Pen - it is just as cool looking.  This LED light outshines the others in brightness as will as distance and you never have to worry about replacing the bulb.  You will occasionally have to replace the AAA battery that powers it though.

You can get the Space Beams in either Chrome or Matte Black and you also get the choice of the Blue or White lights.

Don’t you just love the tradition of drawing names for Christmas?  You only have to buy for one person.  Yes, it’s great … unless you get Uncle Bob’s name, the man who has everything. If he doesn’t have it, he’ll go buy it for himself.  What in the heck do you get Uncle Bob or your family’s version of him?

Fear not!  Cyber Space Pens is always here and ready to offer gift-giving assistance!  Behold the Fisher Space Pens and Mag-Lite Gift Sets.  Two gifts in one and already in a gift box!  You get a Mag-Lite mini flashlight and a Fisher Space Bullet Pen.  Two well-respected companies right there - you’ll have Uncle Bob awestruck.

You can check them all out and see which one you think Uncle Bob will like.

If he is not a mini Mag-Lite kind of guy, we do have many other equally awe-inspiring gifts ideas.  Check out the brand new .375 Bullet Pen - made from a real bullet!  He’d be the first one on the block to own one!  Does he golf?  Then it’s a no-brainer - check out the Specialty Bullet Pens and find the Green or Chrome Bullet Pens with the Golf Balls - they’re awesome.

You have options!  So don’t despair if you have the hard-to-buy for person on your list.  Your solution is a Fisher Space Pen - you only have to decide which one!!
